Help give a child a happy holiday by taking a name off the Giving Tree!
The Carthage community is being asked to help brighten up the holidays by picking a child’s name off of the Giving Tree in the northwest lobby of the A. F. Siebert Chapel.
The Giving Tree has become an annual tradition at Carthage. Supporting the efforts of the ELCA Outreach Center’s Christmas Gift Giveaway Program, students, faculty, and staff have the opportunity to make holidays a bit more bright when we adopt a child for Christmas.
All are invited to visit the Giving Tree and choose a tag that connects them to a child and their wish list. The tags only share gender and age, a tag number, and an email contact information for Debbie Clark in the Center for Faith and Spirituality. After choosing a tag, volunteers should send an email to Debbie informing her which child they picked, and she will then send the volunteer a wish list.
No more than $35 should be spent on one child. All gifts must be returned to the Center for Faith and Spirituality no later than Wednesday, Dec. 4. Please do not wrap gifts, but return them in a gift bag, bag, or box with the tag attached.
